Embedded Employees are our in-house full time employees that work exclusively for your business, remotely on flexible and renewable contracts. They work in UK and US time zones and can be especially selected from a specific area to develop company culture and professional relationships. We aim to bridge the gap between the incentives of contractors and employees to bring a benefit to both your business and the amazing people you can access outside of your own backyard.
There is no upfront hiring fee, though there is a contract renewal fee, of which a majority percentage is provided to your Embedded Employee as a bonus. We feel the typical recruitment model is disruptive to the value proposition of sourcing and introducing the best people to the businesses they love. Instead, we have designed our offering to align with the duration our Embedded Employees stay at your company, this encourages us to find people who are not just skilled but culturally aligned, and that gives us a sense of pride in what we do. We have and we can, but we rather not! Most people who will commit part of their time to your business are doing so because they are passionate about something else. Equally if you only need someone for half the time, it is likely their requirement to the business will give little opportunity for growth and development. However, this is not always the case, and we have been happy to assist bootstrapped startups get off of the ground who have the intention to develop Embedded Employees into full time when they can, or support mothers of young children getting back into work. We would be very happy to have a call and understand if an Embedded Employee would be the right fit for your business.
The welfare and wellbeing of Embedded Employees comes before all else. Your HR Accounts manager will be available to you and your Embedded Employees to review any progress and issues on a monthly basis over the first three months, and quarterly thereafter. We are happy to provide workspace to teams of four or more Embedded Employees and assist with cultivating a collaborative culture aligned to your company values. We provide and facilitate a number of perks and benefits, including activities, re-training and rewards.
Embedded Employees was designed from our ten years of agency experience dealing with London startups. This means it was made to be done ‘yesterday’ and beat the ‘gazillion’ other quotes, a first time founder has the time to source. It’s easy because it’s quick! Within less than a month we will interview up to 100 candidates, vet our top ten, and present up to three after running them through a soft and hard skills test. It’s cost effective because you only pay for the working hours, all holiday and sick pay is covered by us. It’s cost effective because there is no hiring fee. It’s cost effective because the monthly cost is cheaper than competitive UK/US salaries and workspace requirements. It’s cost effective because there is no recruitment fee. It’s cost effective because there are no redundancy costs should your business pivot or Embedded Employees not work out.

Absolutely! We are best suited to businesses with HQ’s in either The UK or East Coast of The US. Though if you have clients across different regions that you need to have constant coverage over, we can onboard team members able to operate between specific time zones.
We will start with a discovery call to understand not only the role and its specific requirements, but also the size, age and stage of your business. We would like to understand what soft skills you value, what communications tools you prefer and the management style. Then we will work between various resources and our little black book of contacts that is constantly updated with the top talent we keep in touch with for future opportunities. Within less than a month we will interview up to 100 candidates, vet our top ten, and present up to three after running them through a soft and hard skills test.
We do all we can to find you the perfect team member. However, we understand that things may turn out differently than expected once an Embedded Employee is placed. That’s why we provide the first month as a trial period. In which time you can choose to cancel or find a new more suitable team member. Your dedicated HR Account Manager is available to assist on any issues that arise.
Within a month of our discovery call we aim to interview up to 100 candidates, vet our top ten, and present up to three preferred candidates, after running them through a soft and hard skills test.
Once you have submitted a role request and we have had a discovery call together, your Embedded Employee will be sourced and vetted from our talent pool. It usually takes us around 2 to 3 weeks to review up to 100 candidates, then another week to carry out soft and hard skills tests before we are happy to present you with our preferred candidates.
Once we’ve selected and vetted suitable candidates, we will present you with up to three preferred candidate documents. These will provide a respective bio, experience, qualifications, certificates and prompts for a positive first interaction. We will then arrange at your convenience an introductory meeting, and encourage you to follow up with at least one further interview before making a decision.
There are no upfront costs or recruitment fees for sourcing and onboarding your Embedded Employee. We pride ourselves on being the most cost effective option to manage and align the best suited people to your business.
After submitting a role, we will organise a discovery call to understand not only the position and its specific requirements, but also the size, age and stage of your business. Then we will use our little black book to review up to 100 candidates, selecting the top 20 to participate in a soft and hard skills test. From here we will take a deeper dive into their personality, aspirations and position in life. We will review their cultural fit with the company and compatibility to the requirements of the role. We will then put forward up to three preferred candidates for you to meet on an introductory call. Our hiring manager will provide you with respective candidate documents, outlining bio, experience, qualifications, certificates and prompts for a positive first interaction. We then encourage you to follow up with at least one further interview before making a decision.
The minimum contract length for your Embedded Employee is six months and the maximum is two years. All contracts automatically renew if termination has not been requested 30 days from end of the contract. Your embedded employee will work exclusively for you unless they are working half time. All contracts can be cancelled before the end of the first month.
You will receive a monthly invoice, subtracting any holiday or sick days that may have been taken. Multiple Embedded Employees can be settled in one invoice, and you have 14 day payment terms on each monthly invoice.
In the circumstance in which your Embedded Employee quits, we will provide the option to organise and onboard a replacement, however, if you wish to cancel the contract we are happy to do so.
